Q: I have taken a retired horse into my care. What updates do I need to provide?

A: Within 7 days of any of the following occurring you must lodge a Retired Horse Update online at myhorseracing.horse or via a paper form here:

• you give/sell your horse to another person;
• your horse changes location;
• your horse retires from its current career if it has one (e.g. equestrian);
• your horse dies.

Q: What if my horse only moves temporarily?

A: You don't need to notify Racing Australia if your horse is away from its usual location for up to 30 days (if receiving vet treatment) or up to 7 days (if attending an auction).
