Single National System Code of Conduct

By accessing and using Racing Australia’s Single National System (SNS) via an SNS login you acknowledge and accept:

  1. The terms and conditions of use outlined in this SNS Use Code of Conduct;
  2. Your use of the SNS is also subject to the Racing Australia Website Terms of Use;
  3. Racing Materials presented to you for viewing and use via your SNS login are protected by the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth);
  4. Personal Information presented to you for viewing and use via your SNS login are protected by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth);
  5. Your reporting obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) in respect of suspected/actual data breaches;
  6. Credit Card details are subject to the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards; and
  7. Other relevant statutory obligations.

PURPOSE

This SNS Code of Conduct details the obligations of users when using the SNS and, in particular, the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of Racing Materials and Personal Information which can be accessed via the SNS.

SCOPE

This SNS Code of Conduct applies to all users of the SNS. All users of Racing Australia Systems (including the SNS) are required to agree to the terms and conditions of use set out in this SNS Code of Conduct each time they log onto a Racing Australia System (including the SNS).

TERMS OF USE

  1. Access to Racing Australia Systems (including the SNS) is provided for legitimate business-related purposes only.
  2. The Racing Materials and Personal Information accessed from within Racing Australia Systems (including the SNS) must not be used for personal gain or profit.
  3. Where Racing Materials can be accessed from within the Racing Australia Systems (including the SNS), which have not been publicly released, those Racing Materials must not be shared with any individual or organisation without the prior written approval of Racing Australia.
  4. Personal Information accessed from within Racing Australia Systems (including the SNS) must not be shared with any individual or organisation without the prior written approval of Racing Australia, other than the individual whose personal information it is when the identity of that individual has been verified by no less than a three step accreditation process, which must include verifying at least the full name, DOB and one unique identifier such as license number.
  5. It is your responsibility to keep your User ID and Password secure at all times and not share them.
  6. Racing Australia reserves the right to monitor the use of Racing Australia Systems (including the SNS) by your individual User ID.
  7. Where breaches of security and the integrity of Racing Australia Systems (including the SNS) are identified, they will be treated with the utmost seriousness and you may be subject to penalty under the Rules of Racing, civil action or criminal prosecution.
  8. You agree you have read the Racing Australia Data Breach Policy and understand your personal obligations under the policy.
  9. Suspected data breaches of Racing Australia Systems (including the SNS) must be reported immediately to Racing Australia’s Chief Executive Officer or Privacy Officer (privacy@racingaustralia.horse).

Following an appropriate review/investigation of any breaches of this SNS Code of Conduct, disciplinary action or action under the appropriate law could be taken against you. You may be personally liable for losses or penalty under the law.
